1. Introduction
Welcome to GetYourGP. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, mobile applications, and online healthcare services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
GetYourGP Limited ("we", "us", "our") is a company registered in Ireland providing online GP consultation and prescription services. Our services are designed for patients located in Ireland.
2. Eligibility
To use our Service, you must:
- Be at least 16 years of age, or have parental/guardian consent if younger
- Be physically located in Ireland at the time of consultation
- Provide accurate and complete information about yourself and your health
- Have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
- Not be using our Service for any unlawful purpose
3. Our Services
3.1 Online GP Consultations
We provide access to Irish Medical Council (IMC) registered General Practitioners via video consultation. Our GPs can:
- Assess your symptoms and medical history
- Provide medical advice and recommendations
- Issue prescriptions where clinically appropriate
- Provide sick notes and medical certificates
- Refer you to specialists or for further tests
3.2 Prescription Services
Our GPs may issue prescriptions based on their clinical assessment. Prescriptions are:
- Sent electronically to your chosen pharmacy
- Valid at any pharmacy in Ireland
- Subject to the GP's professional judgement
- Only issued when clinically appropriate
3.3 Limitations
Our Service is not suitable for:
- Medical emergencies (call 999 or 112)
- Conditions requiring physical examination
- Controlled substances (Schedule 1-5 drugs)
- Conditions requiring immediate in-person care
4. Account Registration
To use our Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your information
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access
- Be responsible for all activities under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.
5. Fees and Payment
5.1 Service Fees
Our consultation fees are displayed before you book an appointment. Fees vary based on:
- Type of consultation
- Time of day (standard hours vs. evenings/weekends)
- Specific service requested
5.2 Payment
- Payment is required at the time of booking
- We accept major credit and debit cards via Stripe
- All prices are in Euros and include VAT where applicable
- Prescription medication costs are not included and are payable separately at the pharmacy
5.3 Refunds
- Full refund if you cancel more than 24 hours before your appointment
- 50% refund if you cancel between 2-24 hours before
- No refund for cancellations less than 2 hours before or missed appointments
- Full refund if we cancel or are unable to provide the service
- No refund for completed consultations, regardless of outcome
6. Medical Disclaimer
Important: Our Service does not replace your regular GP or emergency services.
- All medical advice is based on information you provide
- Our GPs exercise independent clinical judgement
- We cannot guarantee specific outcomes or prescriptions
- You should always seek emergency care for urgent conditions
- Inform your regular GP about consultations and prescriptions received through our Service
7. Your Responsibilities
When using our Service, you agree to:
- Provide truthful and accurate health information
- Not impersonate another person or use false identities
- Not seek prescriptions for others
- Follow the medical advice given and use medications as prescribed
- Report any adverse reactions or concerns promptly
- Maintain appropriate technology (camera, microphone, internet connection) for video consultations
- Be in a private, quiet location during consultations
8. Intellectual Property
All content on our Service, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by GetYourGP Limited or our licensors and is protected by Irish and international copyright laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission
- Use our trademarks without written consent
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our source code
- Use automated systems to access our Service
9. Privacy and Data Protection
We take your privacy seriously. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal and health information. By using our Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Irish law:
- Our Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid for the specific service
- We are not liable for pharmacy errors, medication side effects when used as prescribed, or third-party services
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GetYourGP Limited, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your provision of false or misleading information
- Your misuse of our Service
- Your violation of any third-party rights
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to our Service:
- If you breach these Terms
- If you provide false or fraudulent information
- If required by law or regulatory authority
- If we discontinue our Service
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Termination does not affect your medical records, which we retain as required by law.
13. Complaints and Disputes
13.1 Complaints
If you have a complaint about our Service:

- We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days
- We aim to resolve complaints within 20 working days

14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through our Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
